Research contributions
The contribution form stores your preferred credit, optional email address, subject, source link, message, and consent in this website’s WordPress database. Site editors can review them. Submissions are not public, and sending one does not authorize publication of your email address or sensitive personal information.
Storage & review
Contributions are kept while they are useful for editorial review and research follow-up. They are not deleted automatically. You may request correction or deletion through the contribution form using the subject “Privacy request.” Relevant information may remain in restricted backups until those backups are retired.
Technical information
The website uses Cloudflare to deliver traffic and WordPress to manage content. These services and the web server may process connection information and security logs. The form uses a short-lived, hashed connection identifier to limit repeated submissions. WordPress uses cookies for administrative sign-in. No advertising tracker or newsletter signup has been added for this launch.
External sources
Links to archives and other sites open services with their own privacy practices. The courthouse photograph is hosted locally; viewing it does not load it from the archive’s server.

Do not submit sensitive information about living people, private identity records, restricted site locations, or material you lack permission to share. This site does not currently accept public account registration or file uploads through its contribution form.

Website audience statistics
We use Independent Analytics to understand which pages are useful, referring websites and general device and location patterns. Statistics are stored in our WordPress database and available to authorized administrators. The analytics tool does not set visitor tracking cookies; it processes connection and browser information to derive visitor identifiers. We do not use it to identify your family or sell visitor data. Logged-in visits are excluded.
Analytics data is scheduled for removal after one year, subject to the website’s scheduled-task operation; restricted backups may retain earlier copies. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information in site searches or URLs. No advertising analytics or marketing email subscription is enabled.
Contact and support messages
For website support or a privacy request, use the private contact form. The website stores your message and contact details privately for review. It may also send a notification copy through Google’s Gmail service. We use this information to review and respond to your request, not to subscribe you to marketing emails. Please do not send passwords, identity documents, or sensitive information about living people.
Family research service requests
The research-help form stores your name, email address, requested service, research question, optional place and prior-research details, timing preference, and consent in the website’s WordPress database for private review. It also sends a notification copy through Google’s Gmail service. Submitting the form is an inquiry, not a purchase or contract. Information may be used to evaluate the request, communicate with you, prepare a proposed scope, and provide an agreed service. Please do not submit sensitive information about living people.
Research requests and related correspondence are kept while needed to evaluate or perform the requested service and maintain reasonable business records. You may request correction or deletion through the private contact form, subject to information that must be retained for an active agreement, accounting, dispute resolution, or restricted backups.
Digital-product purchases and payments
The Family Research Kit uses Gumroad for checkout, payment processing, receipts, and download delivery. When you follow a purchase link, you leave this website and provide purchase information directly to Gumroad under Gumroad’s privacy policy. Kings of Virginia does not receive or store your full payment-card number on this WordPress website. Gumroad provides the seller with order and customer information needed to deliver and support the purchase.
